SIGNTASTIC! The Game Show
Two contestants compete in a variety of games, responding in English and American Sign Language. Whoever demonstrates the most correct signs will advance to the final round, for a chance to win a grand prize of $5,000! The more signs they recall, the more money they will make!
Deaf performers test the knowledge of hearing contestants through pop culture trivia, story-building gestures, and electric performances in order to bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing community.
HDS SIGN-A-THON
In April 2023, Dan Cook hosted the HDS Sign-a-Thon. This free event sponsored by the Center for Hearing & Deaf Services was open to the public at the Mall at Robinson and featured acts and entertainment from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
Along with other Deaf entertainment, Dan presented SignTasTic! Trivia Live. This in-person version of the SignTasTic! TV game show encourages every audience member to participate in trivia-based challenges, all while chosen contestants win special prizes.
During the event, guests also stopped by the Silent Visual Media booth to peruse official merchandise, interact with our team members, and purchase the SignTasTic! card game autographed by Dan.
QR Code Shoot Experience
In April 2023, the Silent Visual Media team worked with local Pittsburgh production crew members to film 50 ASL signing instruction videos for SignTasTic! Season 1.
These concise videos performed by Deaf talent Dan Cook, MJ Shahen, Dack Virnig, and Roxie Dummett will be featured on a streaming service alongside SignTasTic! Season 1, teaching at-home viewers the basics of ASL so they can play along. By scanning a QR-code, viewers can learn the ASL signs presented during each episode of SignTasTic!, allowing them to follow along with the game at their own pace.
The 2-day production experience resulted in a variety of exciting content for SVM. Team member interviews, Deaf talent Q&A’s, and a special guest appearance by comedian and America’s Got Talent contestant Hayden Krystal filled out the remainder of the shoot.
THE JUDY & DAN SHOW
This is a live, monthly talk show that brings us together to share news of local happenings and special events, featuring members of the Deaf community.

DEAFSTONE SERVICES INC.
Silent Visual Media, in collaboration with Bokeh Pictures, worked together to film a 90-second commercial video for Deafstone Services Inc. stressing the importance of SSP's (Support Service Provider's) and senior citizen services for Deaf and DeafBlind individuals. Over the course of two days on set, and another day to edit, we created this heartwarming video. We hope you enjoy!
SIGNTASTIC! TIKTOK DANCE
In collaboration with Attack Theatre, Silent Visual Media launched the official "SignTasTic!" TikTok dance to the theme song performed by Wawa and DJ Nicar! We filmed the choreography all throughout Attack Theatre's beautiful space. Follow us on TikTok to watch it now!
